The Day of Adonai - By Kelli Tarner

3.21.09 - The prophets are speaking loudly in this time.  Loudly to America, who has lost her innocence. Who has aborted 51 million babies and has turned from her first love, Adonai Tzva’ot (The Lord God of Hosts).  On March 7, 2009, famed pastor and writer David Wilkerson posted a blog that spoke of the current and coming judgment to America (see http://davidwilkersontoday.blogspot.com/2009/03/urgent-message.html ).  For me it is not good enough to only hear and believe the prophets.  I need direct revelation from Adonai, who generously gives wisdom to those who ask for it (James 1:5).  On Monday March 9th, I asked Him for that wisdom and revelation in my heart.  He answered me the next day as I sought and waited on Him.  He told me to fast for 3 days for revelation on Joel 2:3.  I immediately turned to it, wondering what the verse said.  It was talking about the day of Adonai:

“Ahead of them a fire devours,

behind them a flame consumes;

ahead the land is like Gan-‘Eden (Garden of Eden),

behind them a desert waste.

From them there is no escape.”

Knowing that revelation doesn’t come until after the fast, before bed on the 2^nd night, I asked God for a taste of what was to come.  He answered by giving me a dream of a city being consumed by fire.  I realized if was because of bombing. 

 

On Sunday morning, after the fast was over, Madonna woke up hearing that Adonai was going to meet with us in a different way for our prayer time.  She called and I was thrilled to get to prayer.  As we sat and waited on God, He encouraged us and then began to give us pictures and words, back and forth.  We recorded them as He gave them to us. 

 

I will be sharing this later as The Lord leads me.  I know that all His judgments are based on love—it is the heart of the father to call us back to Him and His unfailing love and goodness when we go astray.  In addition, the shed blood of the innocent cries out from the ground (Genesis 4:10).

 

I feel led to share of the Lamentations of the Prophet, Jeremiah.  In chapter 4, we can see a description of the judgments that fell upon Israel and the contrast of the glory of the land vs. how it was after Adonai declared its judgment.  Monetary items became worthless.  Famine, hunger, and cannibalism overtook the once great nation while the world was in shock.  When God brings judgment, He starts in His own house.  In verses 21-22 it talks of the judgment of Edom to come next. 

 

Pastor Perry Stone talks much about prophetic patterns in The Bible in accordance with Ecclesiastes 1:9-10.  “ What has been is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.  Is there something of which it is said, “See this is new”?  It existed already in the ages before us.”  With that knowledge, Perry’s last TV program, “Mannafest” aired with a word about the recurring pattern of Sodom and Gomorrah (http://www.christian.tv/channels/details/video/45).  In addition, he spoke of the fact that both our President and Vice President’s names and patterns are in The Bible.  Barak is in Judges 4-5 and, in short, had a key role in Israel’s war.  Joseph ruled over Egypt during a famine (Genesis 41). 

 

Lord, give us wisdom, sober-mindedness and temperance during this hour.  I pray that you would touch us with Your words and revelation.  Give us dreams and visions.  Give us a heart to seek You.  Break through the strongholds of the enemy.  May we have a repentant heart that you might turn from your anger and leave a blessing, saving us in the day of judgment.  In Yeshua’s name, amen.
